Streelok is a concept revolving around women ruling all three realms. Traditions trace back to the mythological era. The stories told then often leave out the negative aspects. My thoughts kept pondering, and got me inquisitive to understand the antagonist women of the time. Modernising the almost forgotten characters from the Hindu scripts and basing my entire graduation project was sort of the whole idea.

My designs are inspired by the personalities of 6 women considered antagonists in Hindu mythology, namely — Putana, Shurpankha, Gandhari, Kaikeyi, Manthara, and, Holika. I have worked majorly on sarees and kaftans and created ensembles, easy to put on, with great contemporary silhouettes.
